Health Catalyst receives 2017 Best in KLAS for healthcare business intelligence and analytics

Health Catalyst announced that it has earned the 2017 Best in KLAS ranking for Business Intelligence and Analytics in recognition of its ability to help turn raw data into clear insights that drive improved outcomes in patient care and bottom-line performance.

The Best in KLAS designation is reserved for vendor solutions that lead the software and services market segments with the most significant operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations.

The Health Catalyst Analytics Platform and suite of applications provides the foundation for improving value-based population health outcomes. With optimized machine learning models built into every Health Catalyst analytics application, organizations can leverage the technology for predictions such as identifying patients who are most likely to acquire deadly infections; finding those who may have trouble paying their medical bills; spotting possible canceled appointments before they happen; or launching proactive medical interventions for patients who are at risk for dangerous complications.

The success of Health Catalyst’s analytics platform is closely tied to the company’s proven ability to integrate high-volume data from virtually every internal and external source available. Because multiple sources of data are required for effective predictive analytics, the technology is more effective the more data is present. Health Catalyst’s enterprise data warehouse integrates over 120 different data sources, including the electronic health record (EHR), claims, key financial, operational and patient satisfaction systems.

“Those using [Health Catalyst’s] system say it has helped drive outcomes by helping them better understand the needs of complex patient populations, evaluate the efficacy of treatments, and easily aggregate data from disparate sources,” wrote KLAS researchers in the Oct. 2016 report, “Enterprise Healthcare BI 2016: Getting Value from BI Tools: A U.S. and Global Perspective.” The report’s authors added, “Health Catalyst continues to set the bar for performance and partnership.”

“We are honored to be recognized as Best in KLAS for healthcare business intelligence and analytics, and especially to be recognized by our clients for our ability to help them transform their data into meaningful outcomes,” said Dan Burton, CEO of Health Catalyst. “We anticipate even greater outcomes improvements with our clients in 2017 as we integrate analytics driven by machine learning across our entire product line.  Called catalyst.ai, this initiative equips our clients to exchange today’s limited, retrospective analysis for a new era of powerful, predictive analytics driving an orders-of-magnitude improvement in outcomes.”
