Overstock.com named Utah’s largest tech company

Ivanti aquires Boston-based RES Software

South Jordan-based Ivanti has acquired RES Software, the company said in a recent release. Avanti adds the digital workspace software developer to its own IT digital workspace integration and management products and services. RES has its corporate office in Boston and additional offices worldwide. Utah’s Employers Council Releases 2017 Utah Benchmark Compensation Survey

Utah Employers Council recently published a job compensation survey, designed to help Utah organizations keep current and competitive with employee salaries. The 2017 Utah Benchmark Compensation Survey, which is available for purchase or through council membership, provides a snapshot of state and regional salary policies, including base salaries, average percent pay increases and hiring rates for a range of Utah jobs. Recent survey data showed that the average salary increase for all Utah regions and organizations surveyed, did not jump significantly, going from three percent in 2016 to 3.2 percent in 2017. Sorenson launches new firm for software & securities investment

Salt Lake City-based Sorenson Capital has announced the formation of Sorenson Ventures, a new investment group focused on early-stage enterprise software and security investments. With the establishment of Sorenson Ventures, Ken Elefant joins the company as managing director. He will be spearheading investment efforts for Sorenson Ventures along with Rob Rueckert, Sorenson Capital managing director. Elefant joins Sorenson Ventures from Intel Capital, where he previously served as managing director of the software and security group and vice president of Intel Corp. Global trade is economy booster for Utah, say ‘Solutions’ speakers
